As an administrator, it can be frustrating to notice that your integration job has failed due to processing errors, stuck integrations, or global errors. Often, by the time you realize it, it’s too late, and these integration failures can throw your priorities into disarray. However, you can bring more predictability into your workflow and gain immediate insights into integration errors by setting up notifications.
OpsHub Integration Manager’s Notification feature instantly alerts you to errors, failures, and other events, helping you take prompt action. You can configure alerts for events such as Processing failures, Job errors, Global failures, or stuck integration jobs. By setting up the notification feature, you can stay focused on core tasks while still being notified of triggers preset by the OIM admins. Multiple users can be added to the notifications group to ensure anyone can respond quickly to resolve the issue. In case of an error, OIM admins can also reach out for technical support and raise a support ticket if they don’t have the bandwidth to address it.
Let’s take a look at how OpsHub Integration Manager notifications can be set up. The OIM admin creates an SMTP system in OpsHub Integration Manager, assigning it a name, version, server connection, and other necessary details, and saves it. It is important to note that a user with two-factor authentication and Outlook is not supported by the system.
Next, on the Integration Page, the OIM admin configures an alert for failure notifications by adding all the necessary details, including the Error Trace option. With this configuration, recipients will see the error trace directly within the email notification. Alerts can be configured for one or multiple integrations. Here, we are setting up an email alert for multiple integrations at once.
Once the alert is set up, the email recipient checks their inbox for failure notifications. When a notification is received, it contains all relevant details about the integration failure, including the error trace. The recipient can then take appropriate action based on the provided information.
Finally, in OpsHub Integration Manager, the OIM admin can navigate to Integration Health to check error details that match the received email alert received.
