Roger Bamford
Senior Vice President and Principal Architect, Server Technologies, Oracle
Roger is Principal Architect for the Oracle database, where he has been a software engineer for more than sixteen years. For the past six years, he has dedicated himself to the development of Oracle "Cache Fusion," the architecture underlying Oracle's recently announced Oracle9i Real Application Clusters. He and his team have been instrumental in the development of this technology breakthrough, which delivers better performance and availability each time a new computer is added to a cluster, without ever having to change the application. Under his direction, Oracle has already patented nine of the innovative aspects of Oracle9i Real Applications Clusters, with eighteen additional patents pending. Roger is currently working on commodity clusters and other salability projects.
Prior to joining Oracle, he worked at IBM Research and IBM Office Systems Advanced Technology Group. Roger is responsible for many software innovations including many relating to the architecture and performance of relational database management systems.
Roger holds a B.S. in computer science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.S. in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
David Knight
Vice President, WebEx Connect, Cisco
Vice President of the WebEx Connect division of Cisco, David is responsible for setting the strategic product direction and requirements for the companyç—´ composite collaboration application platform, presence-enabled applications and associated technology components. Prior to joining WebEx, David held executive positions at Portera Systems, a vendor of professional service automation systems, and Sybase, where among other roles he was Director of Internet Middleware. He began his management career at Oracle.
David Knight holds a B.Sc. and M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University.
David Rye
Vice President, Corporate Development, Informatica
David Rye has over 18 years of financial, investment and operational experience. He currently serves as the Vice President of Corporate Development at Informatica Corporation (Nasdaq: INFA), where he oversees M&A, strategy and inbound alliance activity. Prior to Informatica, David was a member of the corporate development team at Hyperion Solutions, focusing on M&A and investment activity. Before Hyperion, David worked in both private equity and venture capital, working at Thayer Capital Partners and Atlas Venture.
David has a MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and an B.A. from Princeton University.
Ido Sarig
Sr. Vice President, Marketing & Business Development, Replay Solutions
Ido is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of senior management experience in enterprise software. Ido held executive roles at Mercury Interactive, including Vice President of Technology Strategy and Vice President of Product Marketing. At Mercury, he was responsible for the company's technology roadmap, and for evaluating new technologies and business opportunities for Mercury. Under his leadership, Mercury acquired Kintana, Appilog, Performant and Allerez, and launched Topaz, the first Application Performance Management solution for real-time monitoring of a userç—´ experience on the Web. Prior to joining Replay Solutions, Ido was a Venture Partner with Thomas Weisel Venture Partners, where he focused on enterprise software.
Ido holds an MBA, Magna Cum Laude, from Tel Aviv University. He earned his BS, Cum Laude, in Computer Engineering from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.
